I really appreciate all of your questions and comments you have given me! It makes me feel great to know that there are awesome people out there and people who have hyperhidrosis out there too! 

I am sitting here late at night with my mind buzzing about so many things. 

The main thing and positive message I want to convey to you all is to just be yourself. Don't be anything else but that. Don't rob yourself of life. 

I talked about this a little bit in my video yesterday about how I am a huge advocate for being confident in your own skin. While there are so many things that might be a little more sweaty about having hyperhidrosis, there are so many GREAT things about living a happy life. 

So many people have asked tips on how to be more comfortable with hyperhidrosis. It is great to feel comfortable and I believe everyone should feel comfortable in their own skin, but there is also something so liberating about feeling a little uncomfortable. Pushing yourself outside of your limits. Standing up and giving a speech in front of a group of people. Blogging even though the sweat is dripping off your hands and onto the computer (me currently) :). Isn't that what life is about? Taking risks and going for something?

It's kind of fun to do the impossible.

Go out and get em', you great, sweaty achiever you.

Sweaty and Hawt

I grew up thinking I would never get married.

Self conscious. Even more sweaty around a boy that I liked.

Nervous. Anxious. Sweaty. Even worse-- drippy. I thought no one would ever think that that was beautiful.

That was, until July 6, 2013.

"I'm so sorry", I said to my boyfriend as I pulled my hand away from his for the millionth time. "My hands are always so sweaty."I was feeling down on myself because I always thought I was grossing people out, and I thought this would be the same instance.

But he pulled me by the shoulders and spun me around to face him. 

"Don't ever be sorry again", he said. "I don't care. I like it. I like you. Just the way you are." He took my hand and wiped it on his shirt, interlaced my fingers again with his, and kept on walking-- talking to me as if nothing had happened.

That was when I knew someone could love me for all of me. When I knew that he was different. When I knew I wanted someone like... like him.

On December 28, 2013, that man held my hands across an altar, I stared into his deep blue eyes, and we were married for time and all eternity.

And

I grew up thinking I would never get married.

I am not writing this to have you all cheer for me and to congratulate me. I am not writing this because I am an exception.

I am writing this so that hopefully you can all change your minds a little bit about yourselves. We have the power to create the life we live in, to create our happiness and our worlds. The results we see in life are in direct correlation with the small decisions we make each and every day. We all have difficulties here in this life. Learn from them. Grow from them. Don't look back or let them hold you back-- we are our greatest bullies. Be the kind of person you want to marry. 

People will bash on you and fight you and tell you you're not pretty enough-- but it is up to you to believe it. And if you do, someone else will too. But if you believe in yourself, and your sweaty hands and embrace who you are, someone else will too. 

I grew up thinking I would never get married.

I am now a wife to my best friend, the love of my life, and the man who believed in me even when I didn't myself.

I express myself in many ways. 

I like to believe that deep down inside I have an artsy soul. 

Music, writing.. these all help me to express myself.

Well recently I have been pondering hyperhidrosis and had a negative thought. I began to think, "Man, if I just didn't have this condition life would be so much better." Haha the adversary knows me so well. However, I believe I have learned how to cope with these negative thoughts and so immediately what popped into my head was that "NO. This is partly what makes me me. And I want someone who loves me for all of me. We all deserve people who will adore us for who we are, and who encourage us to be better. Someone who is happy around us and we are happy around them. Otherwise, what's the point? 

The other day on my hike, I was having a great conversation with a man. We discussed how we have the opportunity every day to do something good, better, and to change... but often times we don't. He went on to tell me how he thought that part of the problem we have in society is not that we are evil or bad, but that we are lazy. He told me we have to reach a point where we accept where we are, be okay with that and then continually try to be better each day. 

So. Stop trying to be someone else. The only one you should compare yourself to is to who you were yesterday.

Isn't life a beautiful thing?

Laughter, beauty, love, heartbreak, moving, failures, accomplishments.

It's beautiful. 

One of my favorite verses of scripture says, "there must needs be opposition in all things". 

How would we ever know what happiness felt like if we never experienced something sad?

How would we ever feel the sweetness of winning if we had never lost?

Isn't it funny how it feels the most rewarding to receive something that we have worked hard for?

How would we know love if we had never experienced heartbreak?

Well, today, I am grateful for change.

I am grateful for a moment of dry hands when they are constantly sweaty.

May we find joy in the little things. 

May we be thankful for the hard times, for they allow us to truly enjoy the good times. 

May we not only endure the hard times, but embrace and enjoy them.
May we be open to change, for it allows growth and a new beginnings.
How wonderful it is that every 24 hours we have a new day, an opportunity to rise with a new purpose, motivation, and a different start just as the sun does.
